Preparing to Pick
For an enjoyable visit, consider being prepared with the following:
Do not wash blueberries. For longer lasting fruit, refrigerate dry berries as soon as possible which should store for 10-14 days. Frozen berries make for tasty treats all winter; to freeze place dry berries in a freezer zip-lock. Rinse before using.
We sell blueberries by the pound so if a recipes calls for 3 quarts, how do you know how many pounds you need to buy? Here's a handy chart for reference.
1 Cup = 4-5 oz (0.25 lb)
1 Pint = 0.75 lb
1 Quart = 1.5 lb
0.5 gallon = 3 lb
1 gallon = 6 lb
